More CKC

Now for some cards.  We did the inside but I finished the outside at home this weekend.  This class was called "Everything about this class POPs" from SEI.   This was one of their monthly kits.  I think this was my least favorite class.  There was one more card we did, I did one last February for Dad and Meredeth's anniversary card if you want to look back.

More CKC

So, What do Ya think of these pages?  They are simple and elegant.  In this "Embellish It!" class titled 2010 Latest & Greatest with Basic Grey embellish it We completed one page and then I had to go buy the second pages.  We were given the ribbon, brads, stickers, and papers in the class and then told to save what we cut off.  The purchased kits then just had papers and you had to have the class suppy left-overs to complete the pages.  NOTE:  When I offer a class or workshop we complete the whole project, there is no more to purchase just to finish a project.

More CKC

These are the rest I have finished.  I didn't get time this weekend to play in my room with scrapbooking, but I did have an opportunity to get some cute pics at our neighborhood/street party.  There was a boche game for the guys bobbing apples, pumpkin carving, and candy guessing games for the kids.  Moms got a chance to talk and help the kids.  Everyone had fun.  These first and third layouts are from GCD Studios and the middle one I can't remember now which class it came from.

More CKC

The second class last Friday was another class by S.E.I. called "Stand Up & Get Noticed" a charming clear album.  I almost finished this one in the one hour class.  S.E.I. was very generous with their supplies and clear in their instructions. I'm looking forward to putting pictures in this one.

More CKC

First thing in the morning I took this class "Making Ordinary Extraordinary".  Using ordinary 5x7 envelopes and scrapbooking supplies we made this beautiful mini album.  I can see this idea being reproduced with CTMH products.   Hmmm!  A workshop in the making.

More CKC

Here are the other 3 pages from the Thursday night Sketches class.  I liked these three and purchased the companion pages and finished them up during the Friday night crop.  This first layout used Heartstring Design products and features fabric twisted into roses and tied around 1 page and the butterfly.

The product used on this layout is from Embellish It and features a detail flowered  clear cut that goes over the journal box.  Simple and Cute.

This page was from The Paper Loft.  I love it and the natural rag-tag look with flourishes, torn paper, and of course the ink distressing (my touch) pulls it all together.  I need to find the prefect pictures for this layout.
More tomorrow....

As promised here are some pictures from CKC

Thursday night was a 3 hour crop where we made 6 one page layouts with instruction, then if we wanted to later in the weekend we could purchase the companion page kits.  These 2 pages I did not purchase the companion pages. A 3rd one that I can't seem to get the pic to load right, I didn't care much for so I didn't complete the page as directed and later I will finish it as I like.

More Thanksgiving Cards

I used a level 1 cardstock to make these cards.  They actually measure 4"x 5.25" instead of the standard 4.25" x 5.5" but the 1/4 inch is not missed and they still fit in the standard envelope.  Why? Way less paper waste.  And where you see the different papers is mostly already done in the design of the page.  SO EASY!

I really enjoy making cards in between the scrapbook pages.  With less time I still feel like I get something done and my dear hubby doesn't feel neglected.  I will be attending the Creating Keepsakes Convention in Kansas City next weekend and will post some pics of that next weekend.

Mojo Monday #158

I am so grateful for the challenges or I would not get anything done.  Check out Mojo Monday for some inspiration and to enjoy the beautiful cards women are making.  Mine seems so simple compared to some of them.  But, I had fun making this card.

100% CTMH product.  The scallops are actually on the back of the card and are still visible when the card is open.  I took the easy way with the flower and used the Olivia Stickease added liquid glass to the small dots around the flower for more texture.

Copic Challenge No 36 - Orange

I was working on these cards for Thanksgiving, I don't do Halloween.
I used for the pumpkin I used YR00, YR16, YR07, and R05.

The pumpkins are from the "Harvest Home" C1419 stamp set from Close To My Heart.  The MyAcrylix stamps are so much fun.

This was Septembers Playgroup LO

This is using a level one kit.  It  comes with two sheets of stickease; one of them is the letters and numbers.  I just matted the photos and stuck them and the stickease on the pre-designed pages.  EASY PEASY!!!
